Jim has been in broadcast media since he was 16 years old. Raised in Northern Arizona, he began doing radio at the local station in Page, Arizona while still in high school. During this time, Jim worked for major media companies such as Viacom, Westinghouse's Group W and Clear Channel.
Jim currently hosts Sharpe in the Morning from 5-7am weekdays on Newstalk 550 KFYI. Previously, he hosted Arizona's Morning News on KTAR for several years - when the show was rated #1.
Jim also logged time as a journalist and received the coveted "Reporter of the Year" award from the Arizona Associated Press Broadcasters Association.
Between radio stints, Jim joined Rose and Allyn, the renowned public relations and political consulting firm in Scottsdale. As Communications Director at Rose and Allyn, he helped oversee accounts ranging from Barrett Jackson Collector Car Auctions to Nestle and Meridian Bank. Jim also worked on several political campaigns including campaigns for the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives.
